The Nigerian Army has denied assaulting or brutalizing popular Nollywood actor, Chinwetalu Agu. Naija News reports that a video had emerged on Thursday showing soldiers harassing Chinwetalu Agu for putting on a Biafra attire.
But reacting in a statement by Brig Gen Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, the Army stated that the actor was arrested for canvassing support for the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
