Claire Cavalheiro, Daniel DeSanto and Vivica A. Fox starrer begins filming in Toronto

Principal photography has begun on “Plan C,” the feature directorial debut of Scott Anthony Cavalheiro, known for his acting role in “Schitt’s Creek.”
The film is currently shooting on location in the Greater Toronto Area and Windsor/Essex, with production scheduled to continue through August.

Fox (“Independence Day,” “Kill Bill”) rounding out the top-billed performers. Supporting cast includes Jamie Spilchuk (“Defining Moments”), Joris Jarsky (“Saw V”), Kris Holden-Ried (“Departure,” “The Way Home”) and Kylee Evans (“Luckiest Girl Alive”).

Cavalheiro, who also wrote the script, describes the project: “I wanted to make a movie that I’d watch. It has its foot on the gas from the hop but also has a flair of absurdity that is really exciting to me. Plus, I do it all with my wife and close friends. I’m excited for audiences to see what Canadian independent cinema can be.”
The production marks Cavalheiro’s transition from acting to directing, following his on-screen career that includes roles in “Anything for Jackson” and “Good Witch” alongside his “Schitt’s Creek” appearance.
The production team boasts industry veterans, including Andrew Appelle (“In a Violent Nature”) as director of photography, Craig Harris (“Possessor”) as production designer, and Derek Liscoumb (“Code 8”) overseeing special effects.
The film is slated for a 2025 release.
